Two-Game N.C. Swing Begins on Monday at Wake Forest

BOSTON COLLEGE VS. WAKE FOREST - ALL-TIME SERIES
- Today's game marks the 28th meeting between the two schools. BC is 15-12 all-time vs. Wake Forest, dating back to 1980-81.
- In ACC regular season play, BC and Wake Forest are 12-12.
- BC has captured three of the last five meetings, but have dropped the last two meetings - including a 69-65 home loss on Feb. 10, 2021.
- Boston College is 4-7 all-time at the LJVMC.
- Boston College is 94-184 in 16+ seasons in the ACC.
- BC won its ACC opener, 73-57, at home vs. Notre Dame.
- In 2019-20, BC was 7-13 in ACC play, finishing 10th.
- It marked the most ACC wins since the 2017-18 season and was the seventh time since 2005-06 that BC had at least seven ACC wins.
- BC's best ACC mark came in its inaugural season, going 11-5 in conference play in 2005-06 en route to a third place finish. BC tied for third in 2006-07 (10-6) and was fourth in 2010-11 (9-7).
- James Karnik poured in a career-high 26 points - including the 1,000 point of his college career - in a win over Virginia Tech on Jan. 22.
- Karnik was 10-of-12 from the floor, scoring his milestone basket on a stepback 3-pointer. He was also 5-of-6 from the foul line.
- Karnik narrowly missed a double-double, grabbing nine boards in 30 minutes of play.
- He posted an efficiency rating of 32 (EFF is calculated: PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK - Missed Shots - TO).
- The 26 points were the most by a BC player this season. The previous high was 24, by Quinten Post vs. Georgia Tech.

- In his previous 90 games, he had scored 20 points or more on one occasion.
- Ashton-Langford has scored in double digits in 14 of 17 games for BC in 2021-22.
- From 2017-20, he scored in double figures 14 time in a 78 game span.
- He has led the team in scoring five times in 2021-22; just twice from 2017-20.
- In ACC games, Ashton-Langford is averaging +5.4 points per game year over year - 15.4 in 2021-22 vs. 10.0 in 2020-21.

- Boston College again erased a double-digit deficit to win, this time against Virginia Tech.
- The Eagles trailed 19-8 with 8:24 remaining in the first half, before closing the half on a 23-14 push, trailing 33-31 at the break.
- BC would lead by as many as five points in the second half - which ended as the final margin of victory.
- A 3-pointer by James Karnik with 14:33 gave the Eagles a 42-41 lead and they would not trail the rest of the way.
- Boston College erased a 23-point deficit to win, 70-68, at Clemson.
- Trailing 34-11, with 7:11 remaining in the first half, BC outscored Clemson by 25 - 59-34 - over the next 33 minutes.
- BC took its first lead on a Brevin Galloway 3-pointer - his fifth of the night - with 26 seconds left, giving BC a 69-68 advantage.
- Makai Ashton-Langford tacked on a free throw with 15 seconds left, making it 70-68.
- At the time of Clemson's 34-11 lead, the Tigers held a 99.5% win probability rate.
- It tied as the largest comeback in an ACC game in conference history.
- Duke erased a 23-point deficit at Louisville (2/13/19), while UVA overcame a 23-point hole vs. Duke in 2OT on Jan. 14, 1995.
- It is the largest comeback in a game in Boston College program history.
- Previously, the biggest comeback was 18 points, coming on Dec. 29, 2004 at home against Kent State. Â
- BC trailed, 41-23, in the first half, before rallying for the 67-65 win, capped by a Craig Smith 12-footer at the buzzer for the win.
- It tied for the largest comeback in an ACC game for Boston College since Jan. 27, 2009.
- The Eagles erased a 16-point first half deficit in College Park, holding the Terps to only 27 second half points.
- It is the largest comeback in regulation in 2021-22. JMU erased a 23-point deficit to beat W&M in OT this past Saturday.
- The largest deficit overcome in Division I was 34. Drexel overcame a 53-19 deficit to beat Delaware, 85-83 on Feb. 22, 2018.
- T.J. Bickerstaff tied for the fifth-most rebounds in a game in Boston College history, grabbing 17 boards vs. Columbia.
- The 17 rebounds also rank as the fourth-most in a single-game in Conte Forum history.
- Danya Abrams holds the BC rebounding record, grabbing 20 boards at home vs. Providence on Jan. 22, 1994.
- Bickerstaff has registered three games with at least 15 rebounds this season - the most in the ACC this season.
- The Atlanta product has five double-digit rebounding games, including in each of his last two outings.
- At Louisville, Bickerstaff logged his second double-double - with 12 points and 15 rebounds.
- He registered his first collegiate double-double - 22 points/15 rebounds - and three steals and two blocks at Rhode Island.
- Bickerstaff is one of only four players nationally to have a stat line with at least 22-15-3-2 in a single game.
- He leads BC and ranks sixth in the ACC in overall rebounding (7.7), including ranking third in OReb (2.7).
- Through 17 games, DeMarr Langford Jr. is showing no signs of a sophomore slump.
- He helps lead a balanced BC attack, averaging 10.4 points - second on BC -Â with 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.

- Karnik was 8-of-11 from the floor vs. ND, connecting on a 3-pointer. He also had two steals and two blocks.
- The senior from Surrey, B.C. logged 11 points and 11 rebounds in 10 minutes of play in the first half vs. the Irish.
- He had his first double-double in a BC uniform, logging 15 points and 13 boards vs. Rhode Island at the Sunshine Slam.
- Since that game vs. Rhode Island, Karnik is averaging 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds.
- Prior to that, through the first five games of the season, Karnik was averaging 5.0 points and 2.8 boards.
- He has 14 career double-doubles, dating back to him three seasons at Lehigh (2017-20).
