North Sets Record, No. 4 Eagles Down Temple

NEWTON, Mass. – The No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team defeated Temple, 21-11, in the second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament on Sunday, May 16 in Newton, Massachusetts. Senior attacker Charlotte North broke the BC record for goals in an NCAA Tournament game, scoring eight on 12 shots.

BC's four attackers all had four or more points on the day. Jenn Medjid (4G, 3A) had her second-straight four goal game and has 13 points this tournament, while Cara Urbank had two goals and three assists and Caitlynn Mossman had three goals and an assist.

The Eagles hit the ground running to start the game, scoring just 20 seconds in off a shot from Urbank. The goal was Urbank's 200th-career point at BC.

The Eagles scored the game's first three goals and hit a running clock at 14-4 with 47 seconds left in the first half. Temple and BC traded goals to open the second half before BC scored four-straight to make it 20-7.

BC outshot Temple, 37-27, and had 20 draw controls to the Owls' 12. North led the draw unit, grabbing 12 draws on the game, while Hollie Schleicher had three.
