Kennedy Labshere’s first career home run fuels the victory
BRIGHTON, Mass. – Junior Kennedy Labshere connected on her first career home run to help lead Boston College to a 6-4 victory over Dartmouth Wednesday afternoon at Harrington Athletics Village. Dartmouth scored one in the fourth before Labshere extended the lead to 5-1 in the fifth with her solo shot to left. Maddy Carpe later scored in the inning on a throwing error by the Dartmouth catcher.
The Big Green did not go down without a fight, scoring three runs with two outs in the seventh before Peyton Schnackenberg got the final out to preserve the victory.
CC Cook pitched two innings for the win in relief as BC planned to throw three pitchers on the day. Susannah Anderson got the start and threw three perfect innings, including a pair of strikeouts.
Boston College closes out the 2021 home schedule with four games this weekend against Louisville. All four contests will be televised live nationally by ACC Network, starting with the series opener Friday night at 5 p.m.
