BC Wins Fourth Straight

BRIGHTON, Mass. – Junior Kennedy Labshere continued her offensive breakout going 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs batted in to lead Boston College to a 3-1 victory over Louisville Friday evening at Harrington Athletics Village. BC captured its fourth straight win for the first time this season to move to 12-28 overall and 7-19 in the ACC while Louisville fell to 17-24-1 and 11-18-1 in the ACC.

Susannah Anderson tossed her 15^th complete game of the season for the victors. She held the Cardinals to just one run and struck out three for her eighth win of the year.

Louisville scored its only run in the second before Gianna Boccagno doubled in the home half of the inning and scored on a RBI double from Labshere.

Labshere was at it again in the fourth with another RBI double in the gap to give BC a 2-1 lead.

Ellie Mataya added an insurance run with her second home run of the season with a blast to right field in the fifth to close out the scoring at 3-1.

Labshere set career-highs with three hits, two doubles and two runs batted in the win.

Boston College and Louisville return to action with two games on Saturday. The first game is scheduled for noon and the night cap slated for 5 p.m. with both contests airing on ACC Network.
