Medjid’s Record-Tying Performance Leads BC over Louisville

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass – Jenn Medjid scored nine goals in the No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team's 18-3 win over No. 16 Louisville on Saturday, March 28 in Alumni Stadium.
Seven of Medjid's nine goals came in the first half on her incredible day. Medjid's nine goals tied Sam Apuzzo's record for goals in a single game at BC, which she set against Navy on February 24, 2018.
BC jumped to a quick two goal lead off goals by Courtney Weeks and Belle Smith before Louisville bounced back to tie it at two.
The BC defense then held Louisville scoreless for over 54 minutes as the Eagles went on a 16-0 run and take control of the game. Rachel Hall made six saves on the day for a .750 save percentage in net for 49 minutes, while Abbey Ngai came in for the final 10 minutes, making two saves and giving up one goal.
Smith had her third-straight hat trick, scoring three goals and adding an assist for her third-straight four-point game. Courtney Weeks also had two goals on the day.
Attackers Cara Urbank (4A) and Caitlynn Mossman (1G, 3A) each had four points on the day.
10 of BC's 18 goals were assisted.
BC dominated in the circle, winning 16 of 23 draws. Charlotte North had a career-high 13 draw controls. North was held without a goal or point today for the first time in 38 games.
