Â
NOW THAT'S A START
BC is now 2-0 to start the year. BC opened the 2021 season with an offensive explosion, scoring 22 goals on UAlbany. The 22 goals is tied for the third-most in a single game in program history. The Eagles followed up that win with a 14-8 win over No. 15 USC. It was BC's first ranked win since the 15-14 2OT national semifinal win against North Carolina. Seniors Charlotte North and Cara Urbank lead the way for BC. North has 12 goals and two assists this year, while Urbank has seven goals and three assists.
Â
THE ATTACK
BC's scoring has been attack dominated to start the year. 24 of BC's 36 goals this year have come from its attack line of North, Urbank, Jenn Medjid and Caitlynn Mossman. North and Urbank lead the team with 12 and seven goals, respectively. Medjid is third on the team with four goals, while Mossman has one.
Â
FRESHMEN ON THE BIG STAGE
Even with a much older college lacrosse landscape because of the extra year of eligibility, BC has some freshmen who have really stepped up early. Belle Smith, the No. 2 incoming recruiting according to Inside Lacrosse, is currently leading the middie's with three goals and two assists. Hunter Roman has started both games for BC, tallying two caused turnovers and four ground balls.
Â
DA NA NA! DA NA NA!
The Eagles have started the year in highlight-reel fashion, making it on SportsCenter's Top-10 plays twice already in two games. In the season opener, junior Rachel Hall connected with senior Charlotte North on a beautiful 51-yard outlet pass, which North caught and took 40 yards down the field before scoring. The play ended up No. 4 on the #SCTop10. In BC's second game, Belle Smith dodged from up top, moved it down to Cara Urbank, who then quick-sticked the ball to a cutting Charlotte North who handled a low pass and shot the ball behind her back while falling for the goal. The play ended up at No. 10 in that night's #SCTop10.

What's Next
The Eagles hit the road for the first time, heading to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to face No. 1 UNC on Saturday, March 6 at 12 p.m.
