McBain Named Hockey East Player of the Month

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – After being recognized as the Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, Jack McBain was named the Hockey East Player of the Month for October on Wednesday by the league. McBain is riding a career-high eight-game point streak to begin the season.
The senior assistant captain leads Hockey East and ranks eighth nationally with 14 points on five goals and nine assists through eight games. He ranks second in the league with 29 shots on goal and is tied for the most power play goals (3).
The Toronto native has multiple points in five of his eight outings this season, including a two-goal performance last Saturday in a 3-2 road win at Vermont. He also scored a goal on Friday in Burlington during his 100th career game.
Boston College (4-3-1, 2-1-0 HEA) returns to action this weekend with a home-and-home series against Merrimack, beginning Friday night in North Andover at 7 p.m.
