Letourneau, Gustafsson Claim Hockey East Weekly Awards

The pair pick up weekly awards after a weekend sweep
AMESBURY, Mass. – Dean Letourneau and Lukas Gustafsson were both recognized by Hockey East with weekly awards following the sweep over UMass Lowell, announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Letourneau was named the Player of the Week, while Gustafsson was recognized as the Army ROTC Defender of the Week.

Letourneau picks up his first collegiate weekly award following a three-goal performance over the weekend. The sophomore scored twice on the power play on Friday evening before adding a tally during the second period in the win on Saturday. He goes into the break with six goals in his last seven games.

Gustafsson recorded the primary assist on the game-winning goal in Friday's victory over UMass Lowell and followed that up with a game-winning power play goal in Saturday's win over the River Hawks.Â

BC takes a few weeks off from games before returning on Dec. 28-29 for the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-off at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The Eagles open the holiday tournament against Western Michigan on Sunday, Dec. 28. All games will be streamed live on B1G+ and all game times will be announced at a later date.
