No. 14 Boston College Shuts Out Richmond

BC wins match 3-0
RICHMOND, Va. — The Eagles shut out the Richmond Spiders, 3-0 at Crenshaw Field.
With the win, BC moves to 9-3 after their win against No. 15, Virginia, yesterday.Â
During the first half, Margo Carlin fired a shot past the Richmond goalkeeper, Erika Latta, with an assist from Jaime Natale. Not long after in the 29th minute, Sky Caron was able to capitalize off of a penalty stroke. Â
Late in the fourth, Victoria Arras got her first goal of the season during the 59th minute that put the Eagles ahead by three. Â
The Eagles held an edge in both overall shots (15-9) and shots on goal (12-4) The Spiders attempted six penalty corners while Boston College attempted eight. Jonna Kennedy made four saves to shut out the Spiders and keep them scoreless.
Boston College returns to Newton for a competitive weekend. On Friday, Oct. 15th at 1 p.m. the Eagles face No. 4 Louisville and No. 17 Saint John's University on Oct. 17th at noon.
