February 21, 2020 | Lacrosse
The lacrosse team fell to its first ranked opponent of the season
LOS ANGELES — The No. 15 Boston College women's lacrosse team suffered a 18-9 loss to its first ranked opponent of the season in No. 13 Southern California. Five Eagles made their way to the scoresheet but the Trojan offense, led by Emily Concialdi and Hope Anhut, held a pace too fast for the Eagles to match.
Junior attacker Charlotte North led the Eagles with four goals as sophomore Jenn Medjid tallied four points through three goals and an assist. Senior captains Cara Urbank and Kate Taylor each contributed one tally a piece.
Defensively, sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Hall recorded eight saves while six different Eagles were responsible for a caused turnover. The BC defensive core held All-American and two-time Pac-12 Midfielder of the Year Kerrigan Miller scoreless for the first time this season.
