CHESNTUT HILL, Mass. -- The No. 17 Boston College women's lacrosse team welcomes Brown University to the Newton Lacrosse Complex on Tuesday, Feb. 25 with first draw set for 3:00 PM. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra as the Eagles look to bounce back from a tough loss on the west coast, falling at the hands of No. 11 Southern California.
Last time out, the Eagles were paced by Charlotte North's four goals while Jenn Medjid recorded her third straight hat trick in the effort. Despite the 18-9 result in the Trojans' favor, North's offensive output placed her at first in the ACC in shots per game (9.25), fifth in goals per game (4.00) and sixth in points per game (5.25). Sophomore goalkeeper Rachel Hall also moved into second place in the league in saves per game, averaging 10.75 per contest. Brown has opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record, finding wins over Bryant (12-7) and Siena (18-8). The squad is led by Risa Mosenthal and Sophia DeRosa who have each tallied seven goals through two contests. Goalkeeper Erin Tucker holds a .423 save percentage along with the undefeated record.
The Bears and Eagles first met in 1992, with Brown beginning the series winning 10 out of the first 11 contests. Since then, BC has bounced back to earn the victory in seven of the most recent eight matchups. Brown leads the all-time series with 11 wins to the Eagles' eight, but the Eagles proved their prowess in the last matchup, taking a 22-12 win in Newton on Feb. 24, 2018.
Tuesday's matchup marks the last game for the Eagles until they travel to take on No. 2 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. on March 7.
