CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's lacrosse team is set to take on intra-city rival Boston University on Wednesday, Feb. 12 for its second contest of the 2020 season. First draw is set for 4:00 PM at Nickerson Field in Boston and will be broadcast on the Patriot League Network.
The Eagles suffered a shock of an upset in their season opener, falling to Massachusetts, 15-11, in Amherst. Â Charlotte North tallied her first hat trick in maroon and gold as Jordan Lappin led with two goals and two assists. Â The loss marked the first regular season loss for the Eagles since April 8, 2017 and the first season-opening loss since 2008. The Eagles are 5-6 all-time in matchups following a 0-1 start to the season.
At Massachusetts, eight Eagles made their starting debuts for BC as North, Rachel Hall, Paisley Eagan, Cassidy Weeks, Jillian Reilly, Maggie Casey, Morgan Tedeschi and Hollie Schleicher each earned starting positions. Eagan and Cassidy Weeks both tallied their first career goals in the upset loss.
