Eagles Compete at Eric Sollee Invitational

Both the men's and women's teams went 4-2 on the day.
WALTHAM, Mass. – The Boston College fencing team competed in the Eric Sollee Invitational at Brandeis University on Saturday, with both the men's and women's teams going 4-2 on the day. The men picked up wins over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Hunter, Haverford and the Stevens Institute of Technology (Stevens) while the women were victorious over NYU, Hunter College, Haverford and the Stevens.

"Both teams had some excellent moments this weekend, but we need to take those moments and forge them into entire meets," said head coach Brendan Doris-Pierce. "We're entering the hardest part of our schedule, and we've proven today that we're capable of competing with the very best in the country and our job over the next month is to go from competing with the best to winning against the best."
MEN'S RESULTS
-The sabre squad went 35-19, earning wins over NJIT, Hunter, Haverford and Stevens … Bolang Meng went 13-5 and picked up a win over NCAA All-American Adam Green of Penn, as did Spencer Kuldell ... Meng also topped two-time All-American Grant Williams of NYU
-The foil squad was victorious over NJIT, Hunter, Haverford and Stevens, going 37-17 in the meet while Justin Herman had a record of 11-4
-The epee squad went 30-24 and earned wins over Hunter, Haverford and Stevens … Michael Corban had a mark of 9-4 in the meet while both Corban and Thomas Junseo Park defeated 2018 NCAA qualifier, Brett Bogert of NJIT ... Park and WIll Smith both posted victories over Andy Faubert of Stevens, who was the 2018 Temple Open champion.
