Competed in the season-opening meet at St. John’s, going 2-4 … went 1-0 for BC in the home dual meet against Sacred Heart … finished 12th as an individual at the ACC Championships and went 1-3 for the Eagles in the team competition.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20)
Placed eighth in epee at the NEIFC Fall Invitational ... competed at the Brandeis Invitational ... was 6-4 at the first NFC meet and 7-2 at the second NFC meet ... competed at the January North America Cup ... was 5-2 at the Eric Sollee Invitational.
BEFORE BC
Named a 2019 USA Fencing Academic All-American … fenced for South Denver Fencing Academy under Jeffrey Miller and Matthew Jordan … finished in the Top 32 of Juniors at the 2019 January Nationals and the Top 16 Juniors at Anaheim SJCC … also played football in high school.
PERSONAL
Son of Brodie and Sue Westen ... has a brother, Dane ... father played football at Western Illinois ... mother played soccer at the University of Central Florida ... enrolled in the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences.
