CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The 2-seed Boston College women's lacrosse team is set to play host to 7-seed Princeton for the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, May 18 in Newton. First draw is set for 1:00 pm and will be featured on the ACC Network Extra.
The Eagles made a statement during their 2019 tournament debut, taking down Colorado, 21-9, last week during the Second Round. Kenzie Kent led with 10 points on the day, tying her own NCAA Tournament program record in points and assists in a single tournament game. Sam Apuzzo marked new program tournament records with seven goals, five caused turnovers and 13 draw control wins.Â
Princeton advanced to the Quarterfinals with a Second Round win over Loyola, 17-13. Elizabeth George and Kyla Sears combined for 10 goals on the day while goalkeeper Sam Fish finished the contest with 11 saves.Â
The teams have only met once prior in history as the Eagles ended the Tigers' season last year with a 16-10 win in the Second Round of the 2018 tournament. Now-graduated Tess Chandler led for BC with five goals.
