No. 1 Eagles Host Louisville for Regular Season Finale
April 19, 2019 | Lacrosse
The lacrosse team searches for their second consecutive regular season conference title while honoring the winningest class in program history
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 1 Boston College women's lacrosse team is set to host Louisville, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium. First draw is set for noon as the Eagles aim to reign in their second consecutive regular season conference title. Following the contest, the Eagles will honor their nine seniors as the winningest class in program history: Kenzie Kent, Sam Apuzzo, Dempsey Arsenault, Elizabeth Miller, Lauren Daly, Hannah Hyatt, Taylor Walker, Christina Walsh and Brooke Troy.
The Eagles head into the contest still undefeated, marking a perfect 16-0 overall record and a 6-0 record against ACC foes. Most recently, the team topped Yale, 15-10, in their first contest of the year at Alumni Stadium. The venue change posed no threat as the Eagles jumped ahead with a 10-goal run to outlast a late comeback push from the Bulldogs to end the contest. Kent, Arsenault and junior Cara Urbank led the way offensively, putting up three goals apiece.
Boston College holds a 4-1 all-time series lead with the Cardinals, who are currently led by Tessa Chad with 55 goals and 61 points on the season. Louisville hangs onto a 5-11 overall record heading into their final regular season game.
Saturday afternoon's contest will be broadcast on the ACC Network Extra.Â
