Eagles Drop Front End of Florida Trip to Seminoles

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Boston College men's tennis suffered a 7-0 setback at No. 41 Florida State on Friday night in ACC competition. The Eagles dropped to 4-7 (0-4 ACC), while FSU improved to 12-5 (2-2 ACC).

Florida State secured the doubles point with victories from Sebastian Arcila / Juan Martin Jalif and Lucas Poullain / Bryn Nahrung in the top two slots.

The Seminoles then clinched the match by winning at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles in straight sets. Max Mendelsohn, Conor Mullins, and Sean Mullins all won their first set in singles, but Sean fell 6-4 in the third set while Conor and Mendelsohn lost superbreakers to close the match.

Boston College closes its Florida trip with a road match against No. 36 Miami on Sunday at 2 p.m.
