BC Will Compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational Hosted by Boston University
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's track and field team is back in competition this weekend at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday, Feb. 9.
On the track, Richard Webber is the top qualifier in the 60M. Webber set a PR of 7.01 at the BU Multi Team Meet on Jan. 19, good enough for a fourth place finish.
In the 400M, Marcus Manson is the top qualifier for BC. At the Terrier Classic on Jan. 25, Manson set a PR with a time of 48.76, finishing 11th in the event.
Matthew Morano and Russell Wells will be competing in the 800M for BC. At the BU Multi Team Meet, Morano took first place with a PR time of 1:51.23, while Wells took second with a PR time of 1:51.67.
In the mile run, the Eagles top qualifier is Ian Ritchie. At the BU Multi Team Meet, Ritchie finished second with a time of 4:11.51.
Sean Burke will be competing in the 3000M on Saturday. At the Beantown Challenge on Jan. 12, Burke finished in third with a time of 8:36.33.
In the field, Avery Mckenzie will look to continue his success in the triple jump, while fellow teammate Michael Oduro will compete in the long jump, as well as the triple jump.
A tentative schedule of events and list of entries is available online now, with live scoring provided lancer timing services.
