No. 1 Eagles Take Down Crimson

NEWTON, Mass.– The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team secured their fourth consecutive win of the season with a 17-6 decision over Harvard, Saturday afternoon in Newton. Kenzie Kent led all point-scorers with seven through one goal and six assists while Sam Apuzzo found the back of the net four times to hold the game-high for goals.Â
The Eagles held the lead throughout the first half, as freshman Jenn Medjid scored to get the clock running for the second consecutive contest. BC was up 6-0 before senior goalkeeper Lauren Daly allowed one goal to Harvard –their longest opening point streak so far this season.Â
As the clock rolled through the second half, BC only added three goals to their lead, kicked off with a goal from Taylor Walker. Harvard tallied another three over the half but couldn't find the momentum needed to push past the Eagles.Â

- Despite scoring just one goal, Kent led all point-scorers with seven, as she recorded six assists. The last Eagle to record six assists was Arsenault vs. Navy on Feb. 17, 2018.
- Casey recorded her first career multi-goal game with two on the day.
- Arsenault and Walker each added a hat trick to BC's offensive pursuit.Â
GAME NOTES
- Apuzzo has recorded at least three goals in her last seven games dating back to last season.
- Medjid has scored the goal responsible for starting a running clock in each of the last two games for BC.
- Going into this season, Rietano had only recorded seven career goals: she has nine this season over just four games.
- Walker's hat trick is the second of her season and third of her career. She recorded three goals in the Eagles' win over UMass last week.
- Abbey Ngai earned a career-most minutes between the pipes, taking over with 19:14 remaining in the contest. She earned six saves – her previous game-high was three. She earned six on the day, matching her total for all of the 2018 season.
