Women’s Basketball to Honor Alumnae and former guard Clare Droesch ’05 at game.
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's basketball team will host Clemson on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Conte Forum (1 p.m.). Tickets for Saturday's game are available at the gate or online. Fans can also watch the game via the ACC Network.
Â
The game is billed as the annual #Play4Kay game, as well as the Alumni Game. Fans attending the game are encouraged to wear pink in support of the Kay Yow Initiative, which all women's college basketball programs across the country take part in during the month of February to raise awareness for breast cancer.

This year, the game has more meaning as Boston College will honor alumna Clare Droesch, who passed away in 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
Â
Droesch '05 was a member of the 2004 Big East Championship team and was inducted into the BC Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2016. A number of her former teammates are scheduled to attend the game, as well as Droesch's parents – George and Patricia and brother George and sister-in-law Jen.
Â
The team is also participating in the Play4Kay Free Throw Challenge for the month of February, which raises money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Help support the BC women's basketball in the challenge by making a pledge for each free throw the Eagles make this month –
