
Eagles Open Up 2019-20 Season at NEIFC Invitational

The Eagles picked up two bout wins on the women’s side and one on the men’s side while 12 Eagles total earned top three finishes.
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Boston College fencing team opened up the 2019-10 season today at the NEIFC Fall Invitational at Smith College. The Eagles picked up two bout wins on the women's side and one on the men's side while 12 Eagles total earned top three finishes.

WOMEN'S RESULTS
In the women's foil, Brooke Solsky and Samantha Davidson went first and second, respectively, while teammate Madison Lee tied for third. Solsky beat the third-seeded Stephanie Li of MIT in the third round to advance while Davidson beat second-seeded Karen Gu of MIT in the fourth round of bouts and went on to finish with a +24 touch differential. Rylie Rueda took first in the epee, with Christina Ko earning second. In the sabre, Crystal Chen and Gillian Lawlor tied for third, with Chen finishing with a touch differential of +28 and Lawlor +26.
