No. 7 Eagles Host UNH, Providence This Weekend

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 7/7 Boston College women's hockey team will wrap up a season-long four-game home stand this weekend with two Hockey East games at Kelley Rink. The Eagles will host New Hampshire on Friday at 2 p.m., with the game streaming on CBS SportsLive, and then face off against Providence on Saturday at 4 p.m., with the game airing on NESNplus.

Hockey East has partnered with CBS Sports Digital to begin the 2019-20 season, making all home men's and women's games available on CBS Sports Digital properties. The partnership kicks off with an early-season schedule that includes games provided for free on CBS SportsLive.

BOSTON COLLEGE IN BRIEF
• Hannah Bilka leads the team in scoring with 14 points on 10 goals and four assists ... Kelly Browne has a team-high 11 assists and one goal for 12 points while Cayla Barnes has two goals and nine assists for 11 points.
• Maddy McArthur is 5-0-1 in goal with a .940 save percentage, 1.32 goals against average and two shutouts while Kelly Pickreign is 2-0-0 with a shutout and a 1.00 goals against average and .962 save percentage.
• The Eagles are converting on 20.5 percent of power plays and killing off 86.4 percent of penalties.
• This is the fifth time in program history that the Eagles have opened up a season unbeaten in the first eight games ... BC's 7-0-0 start marked the second-ever such start (40-0-0 in 2015-16).
• The Eagles finished the 2018-19 season with an overall record of 26-12-2 and finished second overall in Hockey East regular season standings at 19-7-1 ... the team earned the program's 11th NCAA tournament berth and ninth consecutive.

ABOUT UNH
• New Hampshire enters Friday's contest 4-3-2 overall and 2-2-1 in the last five games ... last weekend, UNH fell to Maine at home, 3-0, before traveling to Providence on Saturday for a 6-2 road win.
• The win over the Friars marked the third Hockey East win of the season, with a 4-2 win over a then-No. 10 Boston University squad and a 2-0 win at UConn being the others.
• Carlee Turner has a team-high 11 points on five goals and six assists, with four of her goals and two of her helpers coming on the power play ... Turner had two goals and one assist in last weekend's win over Providence.
• Of UNH's 21 skaters, 18 have at least one point so far this season, with seven of them putting up at least five points ... Lauren Martin has scored two game-winning goals.
• In goal, Ava Boutilier has started all nine games, going 4-3-1 with a 2.41 goals against average and .920 save percentage while posting two shutouts.

SERIES HISTORY vs UNH
• Friday's meeting will be the 71st all-time meeting between BC and New Hampshire since the Eagles elevated to varsity status in 1994-95.
• BC has a 23-41-6 record in the series, including a 13-20-2 mark at Kelley Rink and a 10-20-4 record in Durham.
• The Eagles' first win against UNH came on Nov. 5, 2005, when BC earned a 3-2 overtime win against a fifth-ranked Wildcats squad.

• Providence enters the weekend at 3-3-2 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play … the Friars will play Holy Cross on Friday night.
• Providence shutout No. 3 Northeastern last Friday, 1-0, behind a goal from Hayley Lunny and a 33-save shutout from Claire Minnerath … the Friars then dropped a 6-2 contest to New Hampshire on Saturday.
• Maureen Murphy leads Providence with eight points on five goals and three assists while Whitney Dove is second with seven points on a team-high six assists and one goal for seven points.
• Thirteen different players have at least one point for Providence while 10 players have scored at least one goal.
• Providence was tabbed fourth in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches Poll … Matt Kelly is in his second year as head coach of the Friars after leading the team to a 24-11-2 mark a season ago.

• Boston College is 36-37-3 all-time against Providence since elevating to Division I status for the 1995-95 season ... BC is 17-17-2 record at Kelley Rink and 17-18-1 in games played at Schneider Arena on top of its 2-2-0 mark in neutral-site games.
• Providence won the teams' first 16 meetings once BC became a D1 program and went 25-1-0 in the first 26 contests ... the Eagles won their first-ever game against the Friars - on the road - on March 3, 2002.

• In a pair of home games Oct. 25-26, BC earned a 5-1 win over Holy Cross and a 3-3 tie with Main.
• Against the Crusaders, five different players scored for BC in the conference win while Maddy McArthur picked up her fifth win of the season with 13 saves ... three Eagles notched their first goals of the season.
• Kelly Browne, Lindsay Agnew and Hadley Hartmetz each finished with two points while Alexie Guay notched her first career goal ... Hannah Bilka scored the eventual game-winning goal in the first period ... Willow Corson scored her first goal of the season and Bridget McCarthy picked up an assist for her first point of the year.
