Eagles Set to compete in Cambridge

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College men's track and field team competes in its second meet of the winter season this weekend at the Beantown Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 12.

Junior Avery Mckenzie will compete in the triple jump, an event he has seen success in earlier this season. In a meet at BU back in December, he registered a distance of 14.92 meters which ranked fifth all-time in program history and qualified him for the ACC and IC4A meets.

Other events to highlight include the 1-mile run, where Ben Osipow registered a time of 4:18.44 last month, and the 1000-meter run where Matt Morano, Ian Ritchie and Andrew Willis will look to build on their early season success.

Junior Sean Burke is one of two runners with a seed-time of 8:15:00 in the 3000-meter run, and will look to earn points for the Eagles this Saturday.
