MIAMI, Fla. – The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Miami, Fla. at the University of Miami on Friday – Saturday, April 6-7.

BC will race in its third meet of the outdoor season when it travels to Providence, R.I. to participate in the Ocean State Invitational on Friday, April 13.

BC Highlights:
- Freshman Ryan Russell was the top BC finisher in the 100 meter dash, crossing the line in 11.07. He also competed in the 200 meter dash, finishing the race in 22.32.
- Freshman Stephen Windisch took 14th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.02.
- Freshman Michael Hains earned a fifth place finish in the 800 meter run, crossing the line in 1:53.51. Sophomore Stephen Valvano was not far behind as he took ninth place at 1:56.72.
- Burke won the 1500 meter run, crossing the line in 3:55.35. Freshmen Ben Ruffing and Will Peters were not far behind, finishing in fourth and fifth place respectively at 4:02.98 and 4:03.70.
- Freshman Khalfani Green took third place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 53.95. Junior Michael Saxon finished in seventh place, crossing the line in 55.36.
- Sophomore Sean Sullivan won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:29.36. Junior Benjamin Osipow and freshman Kyle Faddis were right behind at second and third place with times of 9:40.97 and 9:41.16, respectively.
- The 4x400 meter relay team took sixth place out of 10 teams with a time of 3:20.17.
- In the field events, sophomore Avery McKenzie finished in fourth place, jumping 13.97 meters.
