The men had eight top-five finishes over the weekend
PROVIDENCE, R.I – The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the Ocean State Invitational in Providence, R.I. on Friday-Saturday, April 13-14.

Standout performances over the weekend include a number of top-five finishes as freshman Ryan Russell took fifth in the 100 meter dash and second in the 200. Sophomore Avery McKeznie won the triple jump and freshman Michael Oduro was close behind with a third place finish.

BC will race in its fourth meet of the outdoor season when it travels to Atlanta, Ga. to participate in the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday – Saturday, April 20 – 21.

BC Highlights:
- Russell finished in fifth place in the 100 meter dash, crossing the line in 11.13. He also took second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.35.
- Freshman Stephen Windisch also finished in the top 10 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.18.
- Junior Michael Saxon ran 50.13 in the 400 meter dash to earn a second place finish on Friday.
- Freshman Max Herrerias and junior Matthew Morano were close behind in the 400 with time of 50.59 and 50.64.
- Junior Benjamin Osipow took 20th in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:55.58. Junior Andrew Willis was close behind at 1:55.98.
- Senior Brian McDavitt took sixth place in the 3000 meter run, crossing the line in 8:56.71. Sophomore Colin Trigani took 11th at 9:07.47.
- Junior Sawyer Maher finished in 10th place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:11.08.
- Junior Mikhail Bethell took fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.69.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of Herrerias, Saxon, Windisch and freshman Khalfani Green finished in first place with a time of 3:20.64.
- In the field events, Oduro took third in the long jump with a jump of 6.49 meters.
- McKenzie won the triple jump with a jump of 14.64 meters. Oduro was close behind in third place, jumping 13.96 meters.
