Eagles Race at Georgia Tech Invitational

Juniors Matthew Morano and Benjamin Osipow finished in the top 10 in their event
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Ga. on Friday-Saturday, April 20-21.
Standout performances over the weekend include a 10th place finish in the 800 meter run by junior Matthew Morano and a ninth place finish in the 1500 meter run by junior Benjamin Osipow.
BC will race in its fifth meet of the outdoor season when it travels to Philadelphia, Penn. to participate in the Penn Relays on Thursday – Saturday, April 26 – 28.

BC Highlights:
- Freshman Ryan Russell was the top BC finisher in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.21.
- Freshman Stephen Windisch took 20th place in the 400 meter dash, crossing the line in 49.58.
- Morano finished in 10th place in the 800 meter run at 1:52.81.
- Freshman Michael Hains was close behind Morano in the event at 11th place with a time of 1:53.01. Junior Ian Ritchie also had a strong performance in the 800 with a 14th place finish, crossing the line in 1:54.03.
- Osipow earned a ninth place finish in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:55.52. Junior Ian Ritchie and sophomore Sean Sullivan were close behind, taking 10th and 11th place respectively, at 3:55.79 and 3:55.89.
- Sophomore Will Peters was the top BC finisher in the 5000 meter run with a time of 15:24.66.
- Junior Michael Saxon took 21st place in the 400 meter hurdles at 54.71. Freshman Max Herrerias was close behind in 22nd place with a time of 55.17.
- The 4x400 meter relay team of Morano, junior Oliver Boucher, sophomore Stephen Valvano and Hains took seventh place at 3:21.25.
