Sean Burke finished in 10th place in 5000 meter run
PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – The Boston College men's track and field team competed in the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Penn. on Thursday – Saturday, April 26-28.

Standout performances over the weekend include a 10th place finish in the 5000 meter run by junior Sean Burke and an 11th place finish by the 4x800 meter relay team.

BC will open championship racing season when it travels to Coral Gables, Fla. to compete in the ACC Championships on Thursday – Saturday, May 10 – 12.

BC Highlights:
- Sophomore Sean Sullivan raced in the 3000 meter steeplechase, finishing in 18th place with a time of 9:14.87. Junior Benjamin Osipow was close behind in 22nd place, crossing the line in 9:16.86.
- Burke took 10th place in the 5000 meter run, finishing in 14:12.92.
- Freshman Max Herrerias competed in the 400 meter hurdles, crossing the line in 55.45. Junior Michael Saxon was close behind in the same event with a time of 55.79.
- The 4x200 meter relay team of freshman J'Saun Bastien, freshman Stephen Windisch, junior Oliver Boucher and freshman Ryan Russell took 25th place with a time of 1:30.45.
- The sprint medley relay team of Russell, Bastien, junior Matthew Morano and sophomore Stephen Valvano finished in 15th place overall, crossing the line in 3:33.41.
- The 4x800 meter relay team of freshman Michael Hains, Morano, junior Ian Ritchie and Osipow crossed the line in 11th place with a time of 7:39.76.
