Burke takes 12 in 5000 meter run

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Boston College men's track and field team competed at the ACC Championships at the University of Miami at Cobb Stadium on Thursday – Saturday, May 10-12.

Standout performances included a 12^th place finish in the 5000 meter run by junior Sean Burke.

Select members of the team will compete in the NCAA Regionals in Tampa, Fla. on Thursday – Saturday, May 24 – 26.

BC Highlights:

Sophomore Sean Sullivan finished in 16^th place in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Junior Benjamin Osipow was close behind, crossing the line in 9:21.29.
Junior Ian Ritchie finished with a time of 3:51.44 in the 1500 meter run – a personal best in the event.
Burke took 12^th place in the 5000 meter run with a time of 14:25.49.
Freshman Khalfani Green finished the 400 meter hurdles in 54.83 and junior Michael Saxon crossed the line in 55.18.
Freshman Max Herrerias ran 50.11 in the 400 meter race.
Junior Matthew Morano crossed the line in 1:54.33 in the 800 meter run.
Sophomore Avery McKenzie took 13^th place in the triple jump with a jump of 14.66 meters.
