WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES
Quotes from head coach Ashley Obrest:
Â
On her takeaways from the spring break trip
"I thought it was a great trip. Really enjoyed playing at those different parks and playing SEC schools. I thought we had a really great performance against Ole Miss and I thought Dreswick threw a great game and I think one of the big takeaways is that when we have our hitter's one through nine finding a way to get on base, I think things tend to go pretty well in our direction. We had some hard battles against Alabama, but I think if we make the routine plays, we are in those games."
Â
On the comeback win against Fordham in the last game of the Easton Crimson Classic
"Yeah, it was the last game of the trip so I think we were a little tired and a little worn down. It's a good win for us. Their RPI is always up there and it's a good regional win. We did a good job later in the game. Carly (Severini) had a good ball to center field to score a run and Lexi (DiEmmanuele) put down a really important bunt that also scored a run."
Â
On facing their first ACC opponent of the season at Duke this weekend
"The snow set us back a bit but we know Duke was swept by UNC last weekend so they are going to be hungry when they play us. I think ACC play starts from scratch so everything you've looked at gets thrown out the window and we get to start fresh. I'm excited to get down there and see the new stadium and the new program."

- Fresh off a program-best 14 conference wins during the 2017 campaign, the Eagles are looking for a strong start in ACC play to start the 2018 season.
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES
