
Eagles To Play UNC In ACC Tournament

Eagles-Tar Heels tip at 1 p.m. on NESN
THE GAME
• Boston College will face North Carolina in the first round of the 2018 ACC Tournament on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
• The game will be televised by NESN with Jenn Hildreth handling play-by-play and LaChina Robinson on color.
• The Eagles have lost four of the last five games, including a tough 69-63 road loss at Syracuse on Sunday.
• Sophomore Taylor Ortlepp set career-highs in points (28) and three's made (seven) in the game. Sophomore forward Georgia Pineau pitched in with her fourth double-double (14 points, 10 rebounds). It was her first vs. an ACC team this season.
• North Carolina dropped a road game at Duke on Sunday. The Tar Heels have lost nine straight games to end the season.
THE SERIES
- The Tar Heels lead the overall series, 12-3.
- The two teams met on Jan. 6 at Conte Forum. Boston College earned a 74-67 victory behind 23 points from Taylor Ortlepp. Â Milan Bolden-Morris pitched in with 18 points.
-BC led 32-28 at the half and pulled away. Ortlepp reached 20 points during the third frame, while the Eagles squad had 23 points the third quarter alone, achieving their first double-digit lead. BC shot 71 percent from the three-point arc, making five out of their seven attempts. This was the Eagles first victory over UNC at Conte Forum.
- Boston College's first win over North Carolina came on Feb. 11, 2010 on the road. The Eagles second victory over UNC came last year on the road. Taylor Ortlepp hit five three-pointers and led the Eagles with 20 points in an 88-77 victory.

- Sophomore guard Taylor Ortlepp notched a career-high 28 points vs. Syracuse on Sunday. She hit seven three-pointers, a new career-high. Her previous high was 24 points and six three-pointers vs. Notre Dame a week earlier. She is second on the team in scoring (11.9 ppg.)

• Senior Marti Mosetti has played in a team-high 117 career games and starts (70). Mosetti is just two assists away from 300 career helpers.
- BC's offense is averaging 52.3 points per game, while opponents are scoring 75 points per game in the last three games.

- Of the Eagles 1,618 points scored this season, the combination of two rookies and three sophomores make have scored 1,310 points.
