QUOTES FROM COACH OBREST
On her takeaways from the ACC/B1G Ten Challenge
Nebraska and Indiana were very tough opponents to face. They have a lot of history, tradition. I think some things we can take away from is that we're going to need everybody one through nine to step up. Whether it's putting a sac bunt down or pinch running, we're going to need everyone to be successful.
Â
On the pitching performance of Jessica Dreswick and Allyson Frei
"I thought they threw well. I didn't think they threw their best. Obviously we are getting better every weekend. I think that when they get ahead of batters and are able to stick to their plan and their sequence, then they are really good pitchers. I thought Dreswick did a really good job on Sunday keeping Nebraska off-balance.
Â
On senior Annie Murphy's batting performance
We moved Annie to the lead-off spot, so we obviously need her to find a way to get on base right away. I think she's attacking pitchers and watching film and looking at charts. She's doing everything we need her to do.

PAST HISTORY
- The Eagles travel to The Sunshine State for their third tournament of the 2018 season.
- For the first time under seventh-year head coach Ashley Obrest, BC will face Michigan State, Siena and CCSU. Obrest faced FIU for the first time in her career during the 2017 season.
- It will be the third time in program history that BC will take on Michigan State. The last time the Eagles faced the Spartans was in 2011 and they lost both games, 2-0 and 8-6.
- Michigan State finished the 2017 campaign with a 34-24 record, including an 11-11 mark in the B1G Ten.
- BC faces FIU next for the fourth time in program history. The Eagles topped the Panthers in 2006, 4-3, and dropped the previous two meetings in 2011 and 2017, 11-7 and 2-1.
- FIU posted a 46-15 overall record last season and a 17-6 record in its conference.
- On the second day of the tournament, BC will play Siena College for the first time in program history. The Saints finished with a 21-30 record (14-6 MAAC).
- Central Connecticut State University will be the fourth and final opponent for BC on the weekend. The two teams will meet for only the second time in program history and the first time since the Eagles defeated the Blue Devils, 8-0, in 2010.
