- After being down 4-1, Kaileen Hart ended BC's scoring drought and sparked four unanswered goals to send the Eagles into the half with a 6-4 lead.
- Following the first half, the Eagles produced a 12-goal effort in the second half to pull off the upset.
- Graduated senior Kate Weeks broke the program single-game goal record with eight.
- Sam Apuzzo also added her name to the record book racking up seven assists and 10 points, both of which ranked second all-time in a single game. These numbers are still standing.
- Apuzzo slated 10 points overall, which stands as her current career-high, while Dempsey Arsenault led the game with seven draw controls – her current career high.
Â
NEED TO KNOW
- Zoe Ochoa, UMass assistant coach, is a former Eagle (2014-17), who went with the team to the 2017 National Championship. Ochoa registered 344 saves and is fourth on the all-time list.
- In their past two games, the Eagles defense has held teams to eight goals. The last time that the Eagles held opponents to under 10 total goals in two consecutive games was in 2015. The Eagles opened that year's slate on the road traveling to John Hopkins then UMass-Lowell, holding the two to a total nine goals.
- The Eagles have opened the 2018 season going 3-0. The last time the Eagles won three in a row was at last season's NCAA Tournament when the Eagles won four in a row to put themselves in the National Championship game.
- Junior Dempsey Arsenault netted five goal at Boston University (Feb. 17), achieving a new career high. This was her second game this season to produce a hat trick and Sam Apuzzo's second consecutive game with at least a hat trick.
- Senior captain Carly Bell scored her first collegiate goal in the win at Boston University – this was the 61st appearance for the defender.Â

QUOTES FROM COACH WALKER-WEINSTEIN
On Dempsey Arsenault reaching a new career high in goals…
"Dempsey is a beast. She's a freak athlete who has unlimited strength, skill and speed. She's so selfless. She's learning that he team wants her to be scoring five, six goals a game. I think it was a little uncomfortable for her at first, but now she realizes she's capable of that and more. She's getting more and more comfortable with her role."
Â
On the defense stepping up…
"Jen Kent, the defensive coordinator, is like a total brain back there on defense. She's got these guys firing. She always does a really good job at putting people in the right spots. The defenders really respond to her and they respond to each other. There's a lot of chemistry and they're the hardest working girls on the team."
Â
On the challenges with UMass…
"UMass is general. They're good. They're really good. They're really well coached. They're aggressive. It's still early in the year and there's not a lot of film on them, so we can't anticipate some of their tendencies."
