Eleven Eagles produced goals in the win
NEWTON, Mass. – The Boston College lacrosse team defeated Holy Cross, 20-2, Tuesday afternoon in Newton Lacrosse Complex for its home opener.

Junior Sam Apuzzo opened up scoring for the Eagles (2-0, 1-0 ACC) with a natural hat trick, kicking off a 17-0 run that the Crusaders (0-1, 0-0 Patriot League) could not compete with. Eleven different Eagles registered a point in the triumph, while four newcomers made their career appearances.

Junior goalie Lauren Daly registered a .857 save percentage off of six saves, while freshman Abbey Ngai had three saves in her first career appearance.

- BC went into the break with a pretty hefty advantage with 14 points to Holy Cross's one.
- Junior Sam Apuzzo produced a natural hat trick before any other Eagle scored, then proceeded to add six goals, which ties her career high. She added two assists as well.
