- The Wolfpack took a 1-0 lead in the second off Cheyenne Balzer's RBI double.
- NC State added three runs in the sixth on RBI singles from Jade Caraway, Jessica Moore and then Balzer.
- BC made it 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth. Murphy doubled to left. Junior Chloe Sharabba singled up the middle to push Murphy to third. Cortez flew out to the warning track, allowing Murphy to score.
