- BC earned its 10th win of the season, marking the ninth-straight season the team has recorded double-digit wins.
- Kenzie Kent started her first game of the season and recorded a team-high eight points (3G, 5A).
- Sam Apuzzo tied her career high in goals, netting six on the day.
- Kayla O'Connor, Kaileen Hart and Kate Weeks each tallied two goals to support today's offense. O'Connor also assisted on two goals and Weeks assisted on one.
- Lauren Daly recorded a career-high five ground balls while allowing just three goals in her half of play.
TURNING POINT
- BC only allowed one goal in the final 22:04 of play while scoring seven to secure the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kayla O'Connor notched the first goal of the game just 1:11 in.
- UVA tied it shortly after but the Eagles scored four straight goals to jump in front, 5-1 with 14:28 remaining in the half.
- UVA went on a run of its own, tying the game at 5-5 with 7:12 left.
- Virginia gained a 7-6 lead with 1:56 to play, but the Eagles scored two to take the lead at half, 8-7.
- BC and UVA each netted two goals to start the second half as the Eagles remained on top, 10-9, with 22:04 to play.
- Apuzzo, Weeks and Hart each scored a goal to extend the BC lead to 13-9.
- After Virginia scored at 11:40, BC held the Cavaliers scoreless for the remainder of the game while netting four to earn its 10th win of the season.Â
