- Boston College hosted its annual Red Bandanna Day which honors the life of Welles Crowther, BC '99. Mary Kate O'Neill wore Crowther's no. 19 jersey today and finished the game with two goals, three ground balls and tied her career high with two draw controls.
- Kaileen Hart led the Eagles with five points (3G, 2A).
- Laura Frankenfield tallied her first collegiate hat trick and tied her career high with three points.
- Sam Apuzzo and Kayla O'Connor also finished the game with two goals each.
TURNING POINT
- Duke held the Eagles to four goals in the second half as Blue Devil offense scored nine to complete the comeback win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC scored the first three goals of the game, including two in 21 seconds, while keeping Duke scoreless for the first 15 minutes of the game.
- With a 5-3 lead, BC split six goals with Duke in the final 8:34 of the half to lead 8-6 at the break.
- Duke jumped on the Eagles in the second half, scoring four of the first five goals to gain its first lead, 10-9, at 18:35.
- BC tied the game at 10-10 but the Blue Devils outscored the Eagles 5-2 in the final 11:45 of the game to hand BC its first home loss of the season.
