BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Sam Apuzzo finished the game with a team-high nine points, scoring five times and adding four assists. It is the third time this season Apuzzo has tallied at least seven points.
- Junior Kaileen Hart had a career day as she finished the game with a career-high six points and shattered her career high in assists with five. She also tied her career high with three draw controls.
- Senior Kate Weeks led the Eagles with six goals, tallying three in each half. She also recorded an assist.
- Senior Kayla O'Connor tallied a career-high four goals in the game.
- Senior Zoe Ochoa picked up her third win of the season, making five saves in the first half.
- The Eagles scored 20 goals in a game for the first time since their 20-7 victory at New Hampshire on April 18, 2015.
- BC's 12-goal second half tied the team's season high for goals in a half, matching its performance at UMass, Feb. 8.
TURNING POINT
- Tied at nine, BC's offense exploded and scored 11 of the next 13 goals to take a 20-11 lead with 5:41 left in the game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC scored first in the game on an unassisted goal by Weeks, but Navy responded with two in the following minutes.
- The Eagles and the Mids traded off goals over the next 14:07 of play to make it a 4-4 game.
- Up a player after a Navy yellow card, senior Mary Kate O'Neill scored from a feed from Apuzzo to give the Eagles a 5-4 lead with 10:38 remaining in the half.
- Navy jumped out to a 7-5 lead with 6:56 left in the half but BC scored the final three goals to lead 8-7 at the break.
- Out of the half, Apuzzo netted her second of the day, which was countered by two Navy goals to tie it at nine just four minutes in.
- BC held the Mids off the scoreboard for the next 13:12 while going on a 4-0 run to give the Eagles the lead for the remainder of the game.
- In the final 10 minutes, the Eagles offense exploded, scoring six goals in less than five minutes of play while the BC defense kept Navy scoreless for the rest of the game.
