 Series History:
- This will be the 17th meeting between Boston College and Syracuse.
- The Eagles and the Orange first met on April 17, 1998 with Syracuse winning, 16-8.
- Syracuse holds the advantage in the all-time record, 14-2, with BC earning its two wins in the last four meetings
- In 2016, BC recorded its first ACC win of the season against the Orange in an upset, handing Syracuse one of its two conference losses last year.
- The last time the two teams met in the Carrier Dome, BC earned its first win of the all-time series. Syracuse had previously won the last five meetings at home.
- The two teams last met on April 28, 2016, in the ACC Quarterfinals in Blacksburg, Va.
- No. 2 Syracuse defeated No. 7 Boston College, 16-11, to eliminate the Eagles from the tournament
- The Eagles built a two goal lead to start the game but Syracuse countered with five unanswered goals and kept the lead the remainder of the game.
- At the half, the Eagles had cut the lead to one and were down, 7-6.
- Syracuse went on to score five more unanswered goals to start the half, giving the Orange a six-goal lead.
- Attack Tess Chandler led the scoring for the Eagles, netting a career-high five goals.
- This is the final game of BC's season-opening three-game road trip. So far, the Eagles have outscored their opponents 37-18.
- The Eagles are coming off a record-setting victory against Massachusetts.
- Senior attack Kate Weeks broke the Boston College single-game record with eight goals. The previous record of seven goals was held by Covie Stanwick (2015) and Lauren Costello (2008).
- Sophomore midfielder Sam Apuzzo racked up career highs with seven assists and 10 points. Both of those numbers rank second all-time at BC in a single game.
- The two players have combined for 27 points in two games this season with Weeks leading in goals (13) and Apuzzo leading in assists (9).
- With its last win, BC moved to 2-0 for the fifth straight season.
