Three Eagles invited to the premier game for seniors
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – For the first time since 2006, three Boston College players have been invited to play in the Reese's Senior Bowl, the organization announced. Senior cornerback Isaac Yiadom accepted an invitation on Monday and joins defensive end Harold Landry and senior cornerback Kamrin Moore, who both accepted invitations previously. Moore will miss the game due to a shoulder injury.
The game will be Jan. 27 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala., with live television coverage on NFL Network (2:30 p.m.).
Yiadom was the recipient of the Jay McGillis Award, given to the defensive back that best exemplifies the personal qualities of team dedication and leadership by example, an extraordinary competitive spirit and a personal concern for family, friends and teammates. Yiadom is tied for sixth on the team with 51 tackles as the senior started all 12 games for the Eagles in 2017. He is second on the team with seven pass breakups and recorded two interceptions this season.
All-time, Boston College has had 48 players in the Senior Bowl, including Los Angeles Rams third-round pick John Johnson last season.
The Senior Bowl is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier senior showcase event. It annually features the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two National Football League teams.
