Eagles long snapper stays in the Northeast as rookie free agent
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Eagles long snapper Ben Mann signed a rookie free agent contract with the New York Giants.Â
The Lancaster, Pa. native commanded a top-10 punting unit in the ACC, handling the snapping duties in all 12 of the Eagles games in 2025. A Patrick Mannelly Award Preseason Watch List honoree, Mann also added three special teams tackles on an Eagles punt return defense that ranked fifth in the country last season. Â
Prior to arriving on The Heights in 2025, Mann played at Yale, where he was the starting long snapper for three seasons, totaling seven tackles.Â
Mann's grandfather, Chuck Mercein, was drafted in the third round (31st overall) by the New York Giants in the 1965 NFL Draft. He later played for the Green Bay Packers, serving as a fullback for Vince Lombardi in the Ice Bowl.Â
