BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Opening the meet in the 60m hurdles, senior Devaun Bovell notched a new season best, 8.39, landing him in 12th place overall among all collegiate competitors.
- Once again, the Eagles' senior duo of Nicholas Nash and Obinna Nwankwo showcased their spreed in the 400m. Nwankwo turned in a time of 48.55, qualifying for the IC4A meet and the ACC Indoor Championships, and earning ninth place among all collegiate athletes. Nash claimed 10th place among collegiate competitors with his new personal-best time of 48.50, which was good for IC4A and ACC qualification, as well.
- Later, in the 200m, Nash was back on the track and impressed once again. Nash won his heat in 22.05, another personal-best time, and also improving his IC4A qualifying time in the event.
- A slew of Eagles took to the 500m. Sophomore Matthew Morano led the way for Boston College, crossing the line in 1:04.91, good for seventh place overall and an IC4A qualification. Senior Darren James, (14th overall, 1:05.72), sophomore Robert Brennan (22nd, 1:06.30) and sophomore Michael Saxon (23rd, 1:06.35) rounded out the top finishers in the event for the Eagles.
- In the distance events, the Eagles received another IC4A-qualifying performance from sophomore Ian Ritchie in the 800m with his personal-best time of 1:53.56, while in the 1000m, sophomore Ben Osipow earned a personal-best time of 2:30.55.
- Freshman Avery Mckenzie shined in the field events for the Eagles. Leaping in the triple jump, Mckenzie placed third among all competitors with his jump of 14.41m (47'3.5").
- Closing out the meet, the Eagles' 4x400m relay team of Nash, James, Brennan and Saxon combined for a new season-best time of 3:16.72, placing fourth overall.
