HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bruenig scored the first four North Carolina goals and started his night in the 33rd minute when he put home an Alan Winn cross for the 1-0 lead.
- Two minutes later, Winn and Nico Melo combined for the assist on Bruenig's second strike.
- In the second half, Bruenig scored just 1:07 apart in the 82nd and 83rd minutes. Zach Wright assisted on the hat trick goal and then Wright and Skahan both helped on the fourth tally.
- Winn got a goal of his own in the 85th minute to finish the scoring. Jeremy Kelly earned the assist.
- Five of UNC keeper James Pyle's six saves came in the second half.
- Senior Isaac Normesinu forced a pair of saves while classmate Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel led Boston College with three shots.
