Eagles Host No. 9 Louisville Friday Night

Face third-straight top-10 ACC opponent
EAGLES HOST LOUISVILLE FRIDAY NIGHT
• Boston College will host #9 Louisville on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Newton.
• The Eagles (5-3-0, 1-2-0 ACC) have lost their last two conference matchups on the road at #5 Syracuse and #9 North Carolina.
• The Cardinals (7-1-1, 3-0-0 ACC) have won their last five outings. Their ACC wins have come against Pittsburgh, Notre Dame and Virginia.
• This will be the third time the two programs have met on the pitch. Louisville won both previous matches and both of them went into overtime.
BRUENIG SCORES FOUR TIMES FOR UNC IN WIN
• Nils Bruenig scored four goals to lead #9 North Carolina to a 5-0 win last Friday night in Chapel Hill.
• Bruenig scored the first four North Carolina goals and started his night in the 33rd minute when he put home an Alan Winn cross for the 1-0 lead.
• Two minutes later, Winn and Nico Melo combined for the assist on Bruenig's second strike.
• In the second half, Bruenig scored just 1:07 apart in the 82nd and 83rd minutes. Zach Wright assisted on the hat trick goal and then Wright and Skahan both helped on the fourth tally.
• Winn got a goal of his own in the 85th minute to finish the scoring. Jeremy Kelly earned the assist.
• Five of UNC keeper James Pyle's six saves came in the second half.
• Senior Isaac Normesinu forced a pair of saves while classmate Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel led Boston College with three shots.
LAST TIME vs. LOUISVILLE
• Jack Gayton scored the game-winning goal four minutes into overtime to lift Louisville to a 2-1 victory on October 16, 2015 at Lynn stadium.
• It was Gayton's first goal of the season and it came from 22 yards out into the inside right post for the win.
• Zeiko Lewis scored his fifth goal of the season and led the offense with three shots.
• Cedric Saladin had a career-high nine saves, including seven in the second half.
• Just two minutes into the match, Louisville struck. The Cardinal's Andrew Brody scored off a header from a cross by Danny Reynolds. It was Brody's third goal of the season.
• Boston College tied the game in the 87th minute when Lewis scored off a pass from Trevor Davock. Davock had a throw in to the right of the box and Lewis one-timed it into the near post for his fifth goal of the season.

• Senior Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel scored a goal in each of Boston College's first four matches this season and leads the team with six.
• He also leads the team in points (12), shots (23) and shots on goal (10).

• The Drensteinfurt, Germany, product scored the season's first goal at Quinnipiac which was the game-winner.

• He equalized the match against Villanova with a goal in the 51st minute, but BC lost late, 2-1.
