Boston College Men’s Soccer Signs Gabriel Harris Through Team Impact

Boston College has matched 37 children across 17 different teams in the last 15 years
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Today, Boston College Men's Soccer announced the signing of 13-year-old Gabriel Harris through Team IMPACT.
Harris, who lives with Williams Syndrome, officially signed with the team today at the Stadium Club in Conte Forum. Gabriel will participate in many activities with Boston College Men's Soccer, including games, practices, and other team events, over the next two years.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
Boston College has worked with Team IMPACT for the past 15 years, matching 37 children across 17 different teams.
"We are very excited for Gabriel to join our team," said interim head coach Francesco D'Agostino. "We can tell he is going to bring a lot of good energy and questions to the group! So far he's been very fun to have around and since the family lives close they can attend more training."
