- Boston College is 2-12 all-time in the ACC Tournament
CHECKING IN ON THE EAGLES
- The Eagles have won nine of their 11 games, scoring four or more runs in all but contest during that span. That includes three consecutive series victories over ACC foes, going 8-1 against NC State, Syracuse and Pitt.
- Senior Jessie Daulton (62 hits) is two hits shy of setting the Boston College single-season record for hits. Daulton has also reached base safely in 15 consecutive games.
- Junior Tatiana Cortez is riding a 15-game hitting streak, going 23-46 with two home runs, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored during that stretch.
- Sophomore Annie Murphy has recorded a hit in seven consecutive games while reaching base in each of her nine appearances.
- The Eagles are 22-2 when holding opponents to two or fewer runs, 10-4 when scoring in the first inning and 10-1 when leading after the first inning.
- Sophomore Jordan Chimento has reached base safely in 13 consecutive games while sophomore Chloe Sharabba has done the same in 11 straight games.
- The 12 ACC wins ties a school record and the 30 wins is the most Boston College has won under head coach Ashley Obrest.
SOARING IN THE ACC (As of May 2)
- The Eagles rank Top 5 in 17 categories in the ACC, including: batters struck out looking (first), runners caught stealing (first), opponent batting average (second), double plays turned (second), earned run average (third), earned runs allowed (third), fielding percent (third), runners picked off (third), hits allowed (third), at bats (third), runs allowed (fourth), sacrifice flies (fourth), stolen bases (fourth), hits (fifth), innings pitched (fifth), strikeouts (fifth) and wins (fifth).
- Cortez ranks first in the conference in doubles (13), third in slugging percentage (.770), third in runners caught stealing (12), sixth in home runs (13), sixth in total bases (107), seventh in on-base percentage (.485) and ninth in batting average (.381).
- Sophomore Allyson Frei leads the ACC in strikeouts looking (56), is third in strikeouts (185), third in opponent batting average (.216), seventh in innings pitched (172.1), seventh in wins (16) and ninth in ERA (2.84).
- Sophomore Jessica Dreswick holds conference ranks of third in saves (three), sixth in ERA (2.42), eighth in earned runs allowed (52), 10th in opponent batting average (.241) and 10th in wins (14).
- Daulton's 62 hits rank fifth in the ACC.
- Freshman Lexi DiEmmanuele ranks sixth in the conference with 24 stolen bases.
- Freshman Carly Severini ranks second in the conference with 17 double plays turned.
REWRITING THE RECORD BOOKS
- Cortez continues her ascent through the Boston College career and single-season record books. Her 34 career home runs has her in fourth all-time, eighth shy of the all-time mark of 41 set by Tory Speer (2011-14). The Houston, Texas, native's 13 home runs this season are tied for third-most in a single season and three away from setting the record. Cortez's 125 career RBIs rank third, only 17 behind the mark of 142 also set by Speer. Her current season slugging percentage of .770 would rank first all-time if it holds. Cortez (13) is also three doubles shy of setting the single-season mark.
- Senior Megan Cooley (205) is currently third all-time in hits, trailing Jacqui Goodchild (2001-04) at 221. Her 15 stolen bases this season also increases her all-time leading total to 86.
- With 182 career hits, Daulton is currently fifth all-time. With 62 hits on the season, she only needs two more to break the single-season record set by Cooley in 2014.
- The Eagles' current batting average this season of .289 would be a school record if it holds.
- Frei's 407 career strikeouts currently rank fifth all-time.
- Dreswick is tied for sixth all-time in saves with three.
