The Eagles look for second ACC win after midweek win at Yale
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Coming off an 15-11 victory over Yale on Wednesday, the Eagles go for two straight when they travel to Duke for a noon battle with the Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon. The game will be aired on ESPN3.Â

- The maroon and gold fell one spot to No. 11 in the IWLCA and five spots to No. 13 in the Nike/Lax Magazine Poll after their comeback effort at Virginia fell just short.Nine BC opponents remain ranked in the top-20 of both the IWLCA and LM polls this week, including six ACC opponents. The nine opponents now listed in the top-20 continue to be the most this season.
- In the latest statistics, BC is ranked fourth in the ACC in scoring offense (12.27 goals/game) and points per game (16.55) while they are fifth in assists per game (4.27) and draw controls per game ( 13.82). The Eagles 0.443 free position percentage is third best in the ACC.
- Caroline Margolis' 0.636 free position percentage is eighth best in the nation while Molly Erdle's 2.00 caused turnovers per game is ranked 18th in the nation. Despite missing the past two games, Sam Apuzzo's mark of 3.67 draw controls per game is 31st in the nation.
- Duke enters the contest holding an 8-5 overall record, having most recently lost to Syracuse, 14-12, this past Saturday.
- Boston College is seeking its third win in four tries against Duke this weekend and the third in the all-time series. Duke holds the advantage over BC, 12-2, dating back to a pair of non-conference games in 1997 and 1998. Since BC joined the ACC prior to the 2006 lacrosse season, the Eagles have faced Duke 12 times, including two times in ACC Tournament play.
- With four points against Yale, Sarah Mannelly moved into fourth place in program history for career points with 223, surpassing Mikaela Rix's 222 point total set between 2012-15. The New Canaan, Conn. native had previously passed Kristin Igoe for fifth place in the team's loss to Virginia on April 2.
- In her 50th game as an Eagle against Yale, junior Tess Chandler notched her 50th career goal, becoming the third player on the current roster to amass that career total mark.
LAST TIME OUT:
- The Eagles used a game high four points from Sarah Mannelly and Tess Chandler to defeat Yale, 15-11, this past Wednesday on the road in New Haven.
- BC returns home next Tuesday, April 12, for a 4 pm matchup with IVY league foe Dartmouth at the Newton Campus Lacrosse Field
