Tess Chandler matches a career high four goals while Kenzie Kent nets a season high three netters
DURHAM, N.C. – Boston College erased a three goal halftime deficit, but were unable to hold on down the stretch as the Blue Devils scored four of the next five goals en route to defeating the Eagles, 12-8, on Saturday afternoon at Koskinen Stadium.

BC HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Boston College fell to 7-6 on the season and 1-5 in ACC play after Duke defeated the Eagles, 12-8, Saturday afternoon in their home venue.
- With the loss, BC is now 13-2 all-time in the series against Duke. Entering the game, the Eagles had won two of three previous matchups with the Blue Devils
- Tess Chandler matched a career high with four goals for the fourth time in the junior's time at BC. Her four tallies were the most since she recorded four goals at Holy Cross back on February 17, a 19-6 win for the Eagles.
- Kenzie Kent netted a season high with her hat trick this afternoon. Entering the game, she had recorded four goals and four assists in the last three games for BC.
TURNING POINT
- After the maroon and gold came back to tie the score at seven in the second half, Duke regained a two-goal lead and scored four of the next five goals to hold on to the 12-8 victory on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles got on the board first with a free position goal that was converted by Kenzie Kent less than two minutes into the game
- Another free position opportunity was made the most of by Tess Chandler at 23:00 of the first half to give BC its second goal of the afternoon and snap a streak of three straight goals by the Blue Devils.
- After Tess Chandler tallied her second of the game at 14:22, Sarah Mannelly found Kenzie Kent at the front door of the net with 4:49 to pull the Eagles within two.
- Duke added another netter and led at the break, 7-4.
- Following a Kate Weeks goal on an assist from Mary Kate O'Neill, Tess Chandler scored two more goals to even the score at seven all with 19:42 remaining in the second half.
- Despite two straight Duke goals to snap the Eagles scoring streak, Kenzie Kent once again helped bring Boston within one, 9-8, with 12:22 remaining. Her third of the game is a new season high in only her fourth game of the season.
