BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Boston College is now 8-3 on the road against ACC competition.
- The 12 runs and 18 hits in Game 1 were both season highs. It was the most runs scored by the Eagles since a 16-0 victory over Massachusetts on April 28, 2015.
- Freshman Carly Severini went 4-of-6 at the plate with a double, two home runs, seven RBIs and scored two runs. The home runs were her second and third of the season.
- Senior Jessie Daulton was 3-of-8 on the day with one RBI, one run scored, a walk and a stolen base. She went 0-3 in Game 2, snapping her hit streak at 10 games but has now reached base safely in 11 consecutive games. Daulton's 56 hits have her eight away from setting the Boston College single-season record.
- Junior Tatiana Cortez was 3-of-6 with a double, one RBI and two walks. With a hit in both games, Cortez extends her hitting streak to 11 games.
- Sophomore Allyson Frei hurled seven shutout innings, striking out seven, walking two and conceding just three hits. She has now thrown 20.1 consecutive scoreless innings in ACC play, striking out 26 and allowing only 6 hits in that span.
- Freshman Loren DiEmmanuele was 4-of-7 with three stolen bases and four runs scored. Her 23 stolen bases is a team-high and nine shy of a single-season mark.
- Sophomore Chloe Sharabba went 3-of-7 at the plate with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. With a hit in both games, Sharabba has now hit in seven consecutive games.
- Sophomore Jordan Chimento got on base in both games and has now reached base safely in nine straight outings.
GAME 1
TURNING POINT
- Boston College broke the game open in the top of the fourth, scoring six runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the second courtesy of a two-run home run by Severini.
- Boston College added four more in the very next inning. Sophomore Jordan Chimento started things off by getting hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, allowing Sharabba to score. Severini would later fly out to right field, plating senior Megan Cooley. Freshman Danielle Thomas and Daulton would follow that up with RBI singles that brought home freshman Loren DiEmmanuele and Chimento respectively.
- The Orange responded in the bottom half of the third, as a Ozanne home run cut the lead to 6-2.
- The Eagles got back to their scoring ways in the fourth, knocking in six more runs. Sharabba led off the inning by smacking a ball over the center field fences for a solo home run. Freshman Allyson Moore would later knock a single up the middle that scored DiEmmanuele. A Severini double and Thomas single would plate two more while Sharabba drew a walk with the bases loaded to open up an 11-2 advantage. Cooley closed out the inning's scoring with a single to left field that scored sophomore Annie Murphy.

HOW IT HAPPENED
