Eagles Fall in Tight 2-1 Game Against the Irish

South Bend, Ind. - The Boston College softball team (13-34, 3-17 ACC) fell in a tight 2-1 game against Notre Dame (22-27, 10-13 ACC) on Saturday afternoon.
Alyx Rossi took charge in the circle in her first complete game of the season. She tossed three strikeouts and only allowed one hit.
The Eagles scored at the top of the second inning off a RBI double from Nicole Riddell that tied up the game at 1-1.
The Irish added their second run in the fifth to take the lead. Adriana Martinez would add the only other hit for BC in the seventh as Notre Dame wrapped up the game in the top of the inning.
