SERIES HISTORY
- The Orange lead the all-time series 10-5.
- Syracuse holds a 4-2 advantage at home, with the teams splitting two games in 2014.
- Last year's meeting in Chestnut Hill was cancelled due to weather.
CHECKING IN ON THE EAGLES
- The Eagles are 6-3 on the road against ACC opposition.
- Boston College has scored four or more runs in five consecutive games while conceding two or fewer runs in four of those games.
- The Eagles are 18-2 when holding opponents to two or fewer runs. The team is 10-3 when scoring in the first inning and 10-1 when leading after the first inning.
- Senior Jessie Daulton and junior Tatiana Cortez are both riding nine-game hitting streaks, which is the longest streak of the season for Boston College. Daulton also leads the team in multiple hit games (15) while Cortez sets the pace in multiple RBI games (nine).
- Sophomore Jordan Chimento has reached base safely in seven consecutive games.
SOARING IN THE ACC
- The Eagles rank Top 5 in nine categories in the ACC, including: batters struck out looking (first), earned run average (fourth), hits allowed (fourth), earned runs allowed (fourth), home runs allowed (fourth), opposing batting average (fifth), runs allowed (fifth), batters struck out (fifth) and saves (fifth).
- Cortez ranks third in the ACC in slugging percentage (.775), fifth in doubles (11), sixth in total bases (93), seventh in home runs (12) and 10th in on-base percentage (.473).
- Sophomore Allyson Frei leads the conference in strikeouts looking (51), is third in strikeouts (166) and fifth in opponent batting average (.219). She also ranks 33rd nationally in strikeouts.
- Sophomore Jessica Dreswick's 2.29 ERA ranks fifth in the ACC.
- Freshman Lexi DiEmmanuele ranks sixth in the conference with six stolen bases.
- Daulton's 53 hits rank eighth in the ACC.
REWRITING THE RECORD BOOKS
- Cortez is closing in on multiple Boston College career and single-season records. With 12 home runs this season, she has moved into fourth all-time with 33 home runs, nine shy of the all-time mark of 41 set by Tory Speer (2011-14). The 12 home runs also currently rank as the fourth most in a single season and are four away from setting the single-season mark. Cortez's 121 career RBIs ranks third, only 21 behind the mark of 142 also set by Speer. Her current slugging percentage of .775 would be a single-season record if it holds. Cortez (11) is five doubles shy of setting the single-season record.
- Senior Megan Cooley (198) is currently third all-time in hits, trailing Jacqui Goodchild (2001-04) at 221. Her 15 stolen bases this season also increases her all-time leading total to 86.
- With 173 career hits, Daulton is currently sixth all time. With 53 hits on the season, she only needs 11 to break the single-season record set by Cooley.
- The Eagles' current batting average this season of .278 would rank second all-time.
- Frei's 388 career strikeouts currently rank fifth all-time.
- Dreswick is tied for sixth all-time in saves with three.
